Kathmandu, April 4 :
Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Barsha Man Pun, has urged the international community to invest on Nepal's energy sector.
Addressing the 'Second Asia-Pacific Regional Energy Forum' in Thailand's capital city, Bangkok, on Wednesday, Minister Pun informed the participants that Nepal had entered an era of stability and development, so investment on its energy sector was welcomed.
A press note issued by the Minister's secretariat mentioned that Nepal had made remarkable development in energy and hydropower sector in the recent years. Process has been initiated to do power trade agreements with China and Bangladesh.
Relations in regional level should be boosted for sustainable hydropower development, Minister Pun argued.
He further made it clear that Nepal government had a clear policy of promoting the renewable energy.
