16th Handicraft Trade Fair & 14th Craft Competition to begin on Nov 14

Nov 13, 2018: The Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN) is organizing "16th Handicraft Trade Fair & 14th Craft Competition" from 14th November to 18th November at Bhrikutimandap in the capital. 

The five-day fair to be held under the theme of 'Handicraft: Prospect for Prosperity" is expected to promote and enhance Handicraft products and Industry in the country. 

The federation has stated that the fair will comprise features like seminar/ B2B Workshops on current issues of handicraft industry, best stall and best pavilion competition, live demonstration of artisans, best product competition and trend display 2019/20. 

There will be 150 stalls from domestic entrepreneurs and 20 from abroad, said Dharma Raj Shakya, chairman of the federation. He further added that the fair will be an attraction for the new generation to join it as a profession and business. 

The metal, leather, wool, pasmina, wooden and Nepali paper products and medicinal herbs will be displayed in the stalls in the fair.
