Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the development activities were expedited in the country. Speaking in a special convocation ceremony of the Kathmandu University here Friday, PM Oli, also the Chancellor of the University, said all mechanisms were made prompt and effective to lead the nation on the way to development and prosperity.
He also said the government was pondering over the reasons why the country was pushed back in development despite having adequate resources. PM compared the geographical similarities between Nepal and Switzerland and said there were dissimilarities in the development.
On another note, he said that he was still alive due to the development of advanced medical science and technology.
On the occasion, Chancellor Oli conferred the honorary PhD award on behalf of the University on Jean-Claude Bünzli, a Swiss Professor. Bunzli has visited Nepal 20 times and contributed a lot in the education sectors in Switzerland.
Similarly, Vice Chancellor at the University Prof Dr Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha stressed on the development of modern science and technology compatible with time. (RSS)
