Kathmandu, April 11:
The government has decided to scrap all regional administration offices and hand over the moveable and immovable properties and documents of these offices to the Offices of Chief Ministers and Council of Ministers in the respective States. Information to this was shared by Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Banskota at his regular Thursday press briefing today.
Minister Banskota further shared that the Cabinet meetings of April 4 and 8 decided that the offices under the federal governments would also be closed on the holiday given by the State governments. However, it would be as per the decision of the Home Ministry in case of the offices in the Kathmandu Valley.
The meeting gave approval for the submission of the bill to manage the interrelation among the federal, State and local levels in the federal parliament. Similarly, the park development and management work procedure 2075 has been approved and road safety bill 2075 given approval in principle.
The government would make amendments on the laws relating to ANMs who are posted at health posts across the country.

Moreover, the government decided to be the founder member of the Belt and Road Initiative Tracks Administration Cooperation Mechanism, and the Director General of Inland Revenue Department would be given authority to sign on it on behalf of the government.
The Spokesperson informed media that the government would accept the 7.61 million US Dollars- 2 million Dollars loan and 5.61 soft loan to be provided by the World Bank for the project on mini grid energy access, which would be led by the private sector.
Nepal Army tasked to construct houses of storm survivors
Nepal Army would be tasked to construct the houses for the households who suffered worst during the storm in Bara and Parsa districts of State 2.
The rehabilitation would be carried by out the NA with the facilitation and coordination committee to be formed under the coordination of Chief Secretary of State 2 government, where there would be members from various government bodies including the Home Ministry.
The NA is asked to complete the construction of the houses for the storm victims within monsoon, added Spokesperson of the government, Banskota.
Similarly, bill on Nepal Engineering Council (first amendment) Act 2075 has been approved for its submission in the federal parliament, while the cooperative regulation 2075 is approved by the Cabinet meeting.
The government has also given approval for signing the memorandum of understanding among UN Women, Nepal government and Sri Lanka government to exchange assistance in the sector of science, technology and innovation.
Doctors urged to return to work
The doctors working at government health facilities have been urged against to return to work. Responding to a query relating to the agitating doctors, Minister Banskota maintained it was not good that the doctors joined the protest all of a sudden. It could not be accepted, he added.
According to him, some technical and practical problems seen on employee adjustment would be solved gradually. If the employees are really troubled with the adjustment, the government pays heed to it, the Minister underscored, urging the agitating doctors to return to the duty. RSS
