eSewa App Downloaded 1 Million Times

April 11, 2019: The mobile application of Nepal’s first electronic payment service, eSewa, has been downloaded one million times.

According to the company, it was able to achieve such feat with the growing number of people preferring to make payment through their smartphones and internet. Out of the total 1.5 million customers of eSewa, 1 million are mobile app users. The company claimed that more than 7.5 million people are benefitting from its services.

The company started providing electronic payment service from January 25, 2010.
