Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Ishwor Pokharel on Sunday stressed the need for both federal and local governments to move hand in hand for the development of the country.
"This is the time for achieving prosperity and carrying out development activities. The local government should also follow development priority set by the federal government," he said while inaugurating the second town assembly of Budhanilkantha Municipality here today.
He also urged the Municipality to come up with policy and programmes that prioritise development.
Presenting the budget worth Rs 751 million for the fiscal year 2018\019 at the event, the Municipality mayor Uddhav Kharel informed that the Municipality has a plan to make it a model one.
Likewise, DPM Pokharel also inaugurated the town assembly of Tokha Municipality. At the event, the Municipality mayor Prakash Adhikari informed that the Municipality has unveiled Rs 740 million budget for the fiscal year 2018\019.
