The Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) has clinched three gold medals in swimming under the 8th National Games held in Nepalgunj today. NRNA had secured a gold medal in the competition held in four rounds. TAC’s Gaurika Singh defeated her own club’s Upasti Maharjan in the free female 800 free style in swimming. Nepal Police’s Samira Shova Thapa received bronze in the same competition. Similarly, NRNA Nathandhwaj Shrestha got gold medal in the male 800 metre free style category. Armed Police Force’s (APF) Nashir Husain received silver and APF’s Arjin Maharjan received bronze. Likewise TAC’s Duaana Lama secured gold medal in female 200 metre swimming competition while APF club Shree Bee Maharjan received silver and APF’s Diya Isthapit bronze. TAC’s Anubhav Subba got gold medal in male 200 metre swimming. He crossed the distance in 2 minute 20 seconds while NRNA Nathandhwaj Shrestha got silver and APF’s Hamaja Shah got bronze.
